Key Features & Benefits

Sustainable Material:

Utilizes advanced GFRP, a lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and environmentally sustainable material that can be used as alternative to traditional steel.

Modular Standard Design:

Modular design allows flexibility for deployment across diverse locations and supports up to 12 antennas on a single tower.

Easy Installation:

Towers are designed for one-day installation with a small team, eliminating the need for heavy machinery.

High Durability:

Built to withstand challenging conditions which includes coastal-industrial atmospheric environments. Long-Term Reliability: Minimal maintenance requirements due to GFRP's material properties.

Environmental Impact:

By utilizing GFRP instead of traditional steel, the project achieves an overall 40% reduction in C02 emissions, with a 37% decrease in emissions during the manufacturing and an 83% reduction during installation phase.

Scalability & Future Growth:

Vantage Towers' GFRP project is designed for scalability across a broad range of regions and applications. Following successful initial deployment in Portugal, May-24 and upcoming deployments in Germany Dec-24, the project is planned for strategic expansion across Europe in 2025, with a focus on underserved and remote regions where lightweight, modular infrastructure offers significant logistical and environmental advantages. Beyond telecommunication towers, Vantage Towers aims to extend the use of GFRP technology to other areas of mobile communication infrastructure, including cableways and health & safety equipment, further advancing its environmental impact by reducing C02 emissions across multiple sectors.

About Vantage Towers

Vantage Towers is a leading tower company in Europe with more than 86,000 sites in ten countries, connecting people, businesses and devices in cities and rural areas. The company was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Düsseldorf. Vantage Towers' portfolio includes towers, masts, rooftop sites, distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small cells. By building, operating and leasing this infrastructure to MNOs or other network providers such as IOT companies or utilities, Vantage Towers is making a significant contribution to a better-connected Europe. While already 100% of the grid electricity that Vantage Towers uses to operate its infrastructure is obtained from renewable energy sources, green energy generation is piloted directly on site with the help of solar panels and micro wind turbines, and also hydrogen solutions are under testing. This fits well into the overall strategy of the company to drive a sustainable digitalisation in Europe and to support partners through technological innovation in decarbonisation and achieving their climate goals.
